What Your Child Walks Away With

More than a camp. A launchpad.

Designed around what parents told us matters most. Six outcomes your child will earn through the full Founders Lab journey.

01
💰

Real Money Skills

Pricing, profit, budgets — the math that runs the world. They learn it by actually using it.

02
🎤

Confidence on Stage

By Market Day, your child stands up and delivers a real pitch to a real audience. That changes them.

03
💡

Real Creativity

Idea generation isn't a gift — it's a muscle. We train it daily with brainstorm sprints and design challenges.

04
🤝

Teamwork & Leadership

Mixed-age teams mean older kids mentor younger ones. Every child leads. Every child learns.

05
🛠️

Problem-Solving Mindset

The Problem Hunter walk teaches kids to see opportunities everywhere. A skill they'll use forever.

06
🚀

A Real Business

By Market Day, your child has a portfolio, a pitch, a product, and a booth. Not a worksheet. A business.

Two Cohorts · One Journey

From "I have an idea" to "I have a business."

Two 2-week cohorts. Cohort 1 (Foundation) is where kids find their idea, define their customer, and build the plan. Cohort 2 (Launch) is where they build the product, brand it, and sell it at Market Day. Each cohort is a complete chapter with its own graduation moment.

Frequently Asked

Real questions. Real answers.

Founders Lab follows the real arc of building a business: first you find an idea, then you build it. Cohort 1 (Foundation) is the discovery phase: kids find their idea, define their customer, and build the plan. Cohort 2 (Launch) is the execution phase: kids build the product, brand it, and sell it at Market Day. Each cohort is a complete chapter with its own graduation moment — Founders Showcase ends Cohort 1, Market Day ends Cohort 2.
No. Cohort 2 (Launch) is for Foundation graduates. The Launch phase builds directly on the idea, customer, and business plan each child develops in Cohort 1, so kids need that foundation to participate meaningfully. Foundation grads who want to continue can enroll in Cohort 2 separately, or commit upfront with the Full Founders Lab Journey.
Yes. only Cohort 2 enrollees participate as sellers (they're the ones who've built products to sell). But every Founders Lab family is invited to attend Market Day on July 4 as audience and supporters. Cohort 1-only families are warmly welcome — and we'd love for you to see the magic.
We've got you covered. Founders Lab is best when attended in full, but if your child misses a day, we'll send make-up worksheets and a short video recap so they stay caught up. This is included — no extra charge.
Yes, the day is intentionally broken into short, active blocks. Students move through Spark, Learn It, Build It, and Pitch & Reflect, with lunch and breaks built in. The hands-on, team-based format keeps kids active instead of sitting and listening all day.
Every activity is age-tiered. Younger kids draw, act, and play. Older kids lead, analyze, and mentor the younger ones. Middle schoolers get explicit "mentor moments" where they coach a younger buddy. It's one of the most loved parts of the program — younger kids look up to the older ones, and older kids step into real leadership.
Full refund up to 3 days before each cohort begins. Once a cohort starts, payment is non-refundable. We keep it simple: cancel early, get your money back; cancel late, we hold the spot for you. Reach out anytime at [email protected].
From Cohort 1: a Founder Portfolio with idea sketches, customer research, their first pitch, and a Certificate of Completion.

From Cohort 2: a real product they built and sold at Market Day, plus a Module Completion Certificate.

Add the optional Founder Market Day Kit ($45) for a YSMnation t-shirt, Founder notebook, pin, portfolio folder, and personalized Market Day display card.
Kids bring their own lunch each day. We provide water and a healthy afternoon snack. Please note any allergies on the registration form. Lunch break runs 12:30–1:00 PM.
Drop off at 8:50 AM, pick up at 3:00 PM. Sign-in/sign-out required at both ends — only authorized adults listed on your registration form can pick up your child. Full venue, parking, and procedure details go out the week before each cohort starts.
